Prof. Masood sadiq is the main initiator of this cause who discussed idea with Mr. Farhan Ahmed for building a non-profit hospital and is leading in this cause. Professor Masood Sadiq is the preeminent pediatric cardiologist in Pakistan. He is a graduate of King Edward Medical College and completed his postgraduate training in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology from the United Kingdom. Upon returning to Pakistan in 1995 he established the first pediatric cardiology department in Punjab. He has since trained multiple physicians in pediatric cardiology, has developed pediatric interventional cardiology programs and is an internationally recognized expert in the field of pediatric cardiology. His services to the country were recognized when in 2010 he was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Medal of Excellence) which is one of the highest decorations given to any civilian in Pakistan. He was also awarded Wasti memorial gold medal by the president of Pakistan in 2014 for his extraordinary services in The filed of paediatric cardiology in Pakistan. He has over 100 publications and has represented Pakistan as invited speaker in dozens of international conferences.

Dr Asim Khan. MD

Dr. Asim is the founding member and is working for CHHRI since the starting of this cause. Mohammed Asim Khan is a specialist in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery. He is a graduate of Liaquat Medical College, Hyderabad, Pakistan and is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, UK (FRCS) and of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS). He did his general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery training from the Aga Khan University Hospital and then did advanced adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgical training from the world renowned Cleveland Clinic in the United States.

He is currently an Assistant Professor at Children Heart Hospital and Institute of Child Health, Lahore.
He has special interests in cyanotic heart disease, transposition of the great arteries, single ventricle disease and adult congenital cardiac surgery.

Syed Salman A Shah. MD

Dr. Salman Ahmad Shah is the founding member and is working for CHHRI since the starting of this cause. Salman A, Shah is a gold medalist graduate of King Edward Medical College Lahore, Pakistan. He completed all his postgraduate training from the United States and did his general surgery residency from Indiana University and his cardiothoracic residency from UNM. He did his pediatric cardiac surgical training from Vanderbilt University and did an additional fellowship in advanced pediatric cardiac surgery from Emory University (Children’s Hospital of Atlanta). He is board certified general in cardiothoracic surgery by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He has several publications to his credit relating to cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiac surgery.

Currently he is working as an Assistant Professor Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery at Children’s Hospital and Institute of Child Health Lahore, Pakistan.
His special interests include infant and neonatal cardiac surgery, adult congenital cardiac surgery, ECMO and cardiothoracic transplantation.

Najam Hayder

Najam Hyder did his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore, Pakistan. He is a board certified pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist and is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. He is currently working as Assistant Professor Peds. Cardiology at Punjab Institute of Cardiology.

Dr. Saeedah is the founding member and is working for CHHRI since the starting of this cause. Saeedah Asaf is a gold medalist graduate of Rawalpindi Medical College. She did her postgraduate training from the United States and did her anesthesia residency from Indiana University and UNM. She did her pediatric anesthesia fellowship from Vanderbilt University. Before coming back to Pakistan she was an assistant professor of pediatric anesthesia first at the University of North Carolina and then at Vanderbilt University, where she was the director of the difficult airway program. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesia and a member of the Society of Pediatric Anesthesia. She has also published several research articles related to pediatric anesthesia and cardiac anesthesia in children. She is currently an Associate Professor of Pediatric Anesthesia at Children’s Hospital and Institute of Child Health, Lahore.
